Darren Moore says the Owls must cut out the mistakes that led to our 3-2 defeat to Oxford at the Kassam Stadium.
Sublime strikes from Barry Bannan and Josh Windass were not enough to secure victory for Wednesday, with the U’s twice coming from behind to snatch three points.
Moore said: “We came to take the game to them and the boys started excellent today.
“We scored two wonderful goals, the quality of the strikes were excellent.
“Off the ball, our work was good, I thought we used the ball well and controlled it well.
“The thing I’m most bitterly disappointed with is that the three goals are avoidable. The concentration levels just weren’t there, they were poor goals to concede.
“I’ve just said to the boys, you can’t come here and give teams those goals, we’ve more or less given them three goals today. We have to cut them out from now on if we are to do anything in the league come the end of the season.
“I was pleased with the energy today and the goals from us were excellent, I’m just disappointed it’s not led to three points and a good away day performance.”
