For the second week running, Owls midfielder Massimo Luongo has been named in the Sky Bet League One Team of the Week.
Despite Wednesday’s 3-2 reverse against Oxford at the Kassam Stadium, the Australian’s performance in the Owls’ engine room was recognised by league partners WhoScored.com.
The EFL Team of the Week is complied based on statistics from data website WhoScored.com, giving each player an overall rating out of 10 based on their performance.
Data from the stat-based site has Luongo on a game-high rating of 8.2/10, with an assist, seven successful tackles – the most from any player during the game - and six aerial duals won in an all-action performance from the 29-year-old.
