14 January 2022

MATCH DETAILS

Sheffield Wednesday v Plymouth Argyle
Saturday 15 January
3:00pm
Sky Bet League One
Hillsborough

Wednesday return to Hillsborough for the first time in seven weeks this weekend with the visit of Plymouth in League One.

Following twin postponements over the Christmas period, our last league fixture in S6 was the 2-2 draw with Wycombe in late November.

Darren Moore’s Owls will be looking for a response on home soil on the back of successive defeats to Sunderland and Shrewsbury.

It will be the fourth time Wednesday and Plymouth have met this season as the two sides were paired together in the FA Cup earlier in the campaign.

Argyle won both games at Home Park 3-0 while the cup-tie at Hillsborough finished goalless to force the replay.

Plymouth head to Hillsborough with back-to-back league wins on the board over Charlton and Cheltenham and they also progressed in the FA Cup last weekend, defeating Birmingham 1-0 after extra time.

IMPORTANT PLAN B INFORMATION

Following the Government’s recent introduction of Plan B measures for winter, we are reminding all supporters of the mandatory regulations regarding League One games at Hillsborough for the immediate future.
