Owls sign Arsenal forward John-Jules

25 January 2022

The Owls have signed Arsenal striker Tyreece John-Jules on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old, who spent the first half of the campaign in the Championship with Blackpool, becomes Wednesday’s second January signing following the addition of Jordan Storey last week.

John-Jules regularly impressed for the Gunners’ younger sides and made his Under-23 debut at just 17-years-old, with his first stint in senior football coming at Lincoln during a temporary stint in 2020.

The forward, who is equally adept on the left wing, first linked up with Darren Moore in September 2020 when he joined Doncaster on loan.

He scored five goals in 13 starts for Rovers ahead of his switch to Bloomfield Road at the start of the 2021/22 campaign.

John-Jules has also featured regularly at international youth level with England, playing from the Under-16s to Under-19s before making his Under-21 debut in September last year.

The London product will wear shirt number 30 during his S6 stint.

Welcome to Hillsborough, Tyreece!
