The Sheffield Wednesday academy have taken plenty away so far from their five-day training camp at Queen Ethelburga’s college.
Our Under-18s and 21s have continued their preparation for the new campaign at the renowned facilities in York during the past week.
The camp began on Monday and is due to end Friday with two private friendly fixtures, one for the 18s and another for the 21s.
Academy manager Steven Haslam said: “We’ve had a productive week with the boys.
“We’ve been to these facilities a number of times over the past several years.
“We are training on high quality grass pitches, have full access to the gyms, running tracks and we’re really grateful to have the opportunity to come here again.
“It’s good to bring the group into this environment, it’s been challenging, hot conditions and the lads have done really well.
“We will finish the week on Friday with two private games in the morning against strong opposition, a game for the 18s and 21s before heading back to Sheffield.”
