Owls defender Ciaran Brennan has joined League Two side Swindon Town on a season-long loan deal.
The 22-year-old academy product has made 18 appearances in total for Wednesday since his debut in the Carabao Cup at Rochdale in September 2020.
It will be Brennan’s third loan spell away from Hillsborough after temporary stints with Notts County and Gainsborough Trinity.
The central defender returned to S6 in November after making four appearances for the Magpies and went on to feature for Darren Moore’s side 13 times.
Swindon enjoyed a strong season last time out, finishing sixth in the fourth tier before losing out to eventual play-off winners Port Vale in the semi-finals on penalties.
