Our pre-season continues this evening with the short hop to League Two side Harrogate Town.
The friendly fixture is the Owls’ maiden trip to Harrogate and follows last Saturday’s stalemate at National League North Alfreton Town.
Wednesday are expected to give valuable minutes to most of the squad in North Yorkshire, including this week’s new recruits Akin Famewo and Reece James.
After the Alfreton game, assistant manager Jamie Smith told swfc.co.uk: “You need at least three or four games to really get into your stride.
“Pre-season isn’t about results, it’s not about that, it’s about getting minutes into the players, that’s the most important thing.”
Supporters are reminded that the game is sold out to Wednesdayites, with our allocation of 600 tickets snapped up on Tuesday.
The contest at the EnviroVent Stadium gets underway at 7:00pm.
