The Owls are saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Bobby Hope, aged 78.
The Scotland international joined the Owls in the latter part of his career in 1976 and went on to make 46 appearances from the engine room, scoring nine goals, including a debut strike against Chesterfield. He departed S6 in 1979.

It was with his first club, West Bromwich Albion, where Hope would forge legendary status, playing a mammoth 409 games for the Baggies across 12 years at the Hawthorns.
The Stirlingshire product was a mainstay in the WBA midfield throughout the 1960s, helping Albion lift the League Cup in 1966 and the FA Cup two years later.
Our thoughts are with Bobby’s family and friends at this difficult time.
