Aston Villa supporter Graham Holder recently completed a 100-mile walk from Villa Park to Hillsborough to raise funds for mental health charities.
Graham took on the challenge in memory of his son Jack, who sadly passed away after suffering with mental health problems just three weeks before his 21st birthday in 2018.
The father and son had recently watched their beloved Villa take on Wednesday in a Championship clash just weeks before Jack passed away, prompting Graham to choose Hillsborough as the destination for the walk.
The charitable challenge comes after the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme announced their own mental health initiative, Talk Club.
Talk Club runs every Monday, 6:00pm-8:00pm, at the SWFCCP Education Hub at Hillsborough.
The club provides mental wellbeing support and a safe, comfortable space to talk and listen for local men.
Arthur Dawes, a friend of Graham’s who joined the walk to Hillsborough, said: "SWFC and AVFC are fantastic traditional football clubs that mean so much to their communities.
“Both clubs' initiatives can be so important in helping young people in similar circumstances to Jack.
“Being able to access this support will be of massive benefit."
