In two weeks’ time on Monday 20 June, the Owls squad will report back at Middlewood Road as the planning, preparation and hard yards begin ahead of the new campaign.
Combined with the players’ return, the 2022/23 season will then come into sharper focus later that week when the fixtures are released on Thursday 23rd.

Manager Darren Moore gave an exclusive interview to swfc.co.uk late last month and spoke of the work already underway.

The squad are currently away from the club for their summer breaks, all with specific fitness programmes to follow before returning to S6.
Moore says as soon as the boys regroup, competition for places begin with all focus on the new campaign.
“We’ll look at the fixtures when they come out and when the players come back the competition starts,” the gaffer said.
"They all want to play and I wouldn’t have it any other way, that’s how it should be.
“We look forward to it but there’s a lot of work before we even get to that point.
“When you look at the top teams from last season, we all have different styles and there’s no right or wrong way for success in this league.
“Reputations hold no bearing, you have to perform. Only three can get promoted and there’s no God-given right for the former Premier League clubs to succeed.”
