Owls captain Barry Bannan has been voted as the club’s official 2021/22 Player of the Year.
Supporters have voted in their thousands and the skipper has come out on top with a landslide win!
We asked supporters via swfc.co.uk to choose your standout candidate and the popular Scot has scooped the award with a huge 70% of the vote.
The 32-year-old has enjoyed a terrific campaign with 49 appearances in all competitions so far.
His stats are as impressive as his contributions week in, week out for Wednesday as the captain boasts nine goals and 12 assists from the engine room.
The official club Player of the Year award is not the first piece of silverware to go Bannan’s way this campaign!
Bannan has also been crowned as The Star and London Owls Player of the Year, the Owls Community Champion and was recognised recently in a glittering EFL ceremony in the capital where he was named in the League One Team of the Season and bagged the EFL Goal of the Season award for his stunner away at MK Dons.
