Owls Legends v Czech Republic Legends
Saturday 14 May
A team of Sheffield Wednesday Legends take on Czech Republic Legends at Hillsborough this weekend to raise funds for two charities!
The friendly fixture has been arranged by the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme with help from former Owls full back and Czech international Daniel Pudil.
The Czech charity are supporting two-year old Simon, who is battling Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, a kidney-neurological disease affecting psychomotor development, causing organ failure, and leading the sufferer to commit self-harm.
Donations will help Simon receive the treatment he needs to prevent symptoms of the disease developing.
Weston Park Cancer Charity help thousands of people every year in the fight against cancer, conducting research, providing treatment, care and support for those with the illness and their families.
Supporters can purchase tickets for the 1:30pm kick-off online HERE, or pay on the day in S6. Tickets are priced £6 for adults and £3 concessions.
If you are unable to attend the game but would like to make a donation towards the charity match, you can do so via this link on our Community Programme website.

Pudil said: “I would like to thank Sheffield Wednesday and the Community Programme for hosting these events. We hope many people will come along and support the legends and help raise lots of money for charities in both countries.”
Darren Hayes, Head of Fundraising at Weston Park, added: “We’re honoured that the legends football match will raise funds for the one in two people who will be diagnosed with cancer.
"The money raised will ensure that we can be there, at every step, for people facing cancer by enabling vital research, providing support and enhancing treatment.”
