The Owls are pleased to be hosting an evening with 1966 FA Cup final goalscorer Jim McCalliog on Friday evening at Hillsborough.
The Scot, who played 174 times for Wednesday between 1965 and 1969, will be promoting his new autobiography, ‘Wembley Wins, Wembley Woes’.
McCalliog famously scored the Owls’ opener in the 1966 FA Cup final against Everton at Wembley, but the Toffees fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
The inside forward did go on to win the FA Cup at Wembley with Southampton in 1976 and the former Owl’s new book charts his career, including his highs and lows at our national stadium.
Tickets for the event, which takes place on Friday 18 November (6:30pm) in the 1867 Lounge, can be purchased on the door with both cash and card payments accepted.
Entrance is £30, which includes a signed copy of ‘Wembley Wins, Wembley Woes’ from the man himself!
