‘Blow the Whistle’ campaign have sent a message of thanks to generous fans attending Hillsborough.

Blow the Whistle is part of ‘White Ribbon UK’ which is the leading charity engaging men and boys to end violence against women and girls.

High profile political figures and sports personalities have backed the campaign as the Blow the Whistle team continue to spread the message that ‘no scoreline justifies abuse’.

Supporting Blow the Whistle, the Mayor Of South Yorkshire, Oliver Coppard, said: “It’s incredibly important and not just right now. It’s something we need to maintain a focus on going forwards until that problem is challenged and tackled at its root cause and that’s going to be generational.”

The Blow the Whistle team also appeared on BBC Radio Sheffield to talk about the campaign, as well as taking their fundraising efforts to Hillsborough, before issuing a vote of thanks to supporters.
