Lincoln City v Wednesday

Saturday 22 October
1:00pm
League One
LNER Stadium

THE MATCH

The Owls will be out to extend their strong run of form on the road this weekend with a clash at Lincoln’s LNER Stadium.

With four wins from the last five games away from Hillsborough, Darren Moore’s men have been a force on their travels this season.

After defeating Cambridge last weekend at Abbey Stadium, Wednesday moved to within a point of second-placed Ipswich.

The Imps are 14th in League One but are one of four teams in the division still unbeaten at home, along with Plymouth, Portsmouth and Charlton.

Mark Kennedy’s side upset the odds last week with an impressive 1-0 win over Ipswich at Portman Road.

TEAM NEWS

Wednesday: The Owls are in good shape for Saturday’s early kick-off.

Longer term absentees Dennis Adeniran, Akin Famewo and Reece James will miss out at Lincoln but the trio are making good strides with their recoveries.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has recovered from a minor knock and is fit for selection.

Dominic Iorfa has returned to training, while the likes of George Byers, Mallik Wilks and Mark

McGuinness are all options for the gaffer this weekend.

Lincoln: The Imps are expected to name a similar side to that of last week following victory over the Tractor Boys.
