Plymouth v Wednesday
Tuesday 4 October
7:45pm
League One
Home Park
THE MATCH
It’s a top of the table clash tonight at Home Park as two of the league’s in-form sides go head-to-head.
The Owls have been strong away from home and have racked up four wins from five League One fixtures on their travels in 2022/23.
Wins and clean sheets at MK Dons (0-1), Bolton (0-2), Morecambe (0-3) and Port Vale (0-1) highlight Wednesday’s strength away from S6 so far this season.
But the Owls are in for a stern test tonight as Plymouth sit top of the league with an unblemished record at Home Park this season.
The Pilgrims have won all five home games in 2022/23, conceding just one goal along the way.
TEAM NEWS
Wednesday: Owls trio Mark McGuinness, George Byers and Lee Gregory will be assessed ahead of the trip to Plymouth.
If not ready in time to face the Pilgrims, the Wednesday boss expects all three to be available on Saturday for Cheltenham at home.
There were no fresh injuries or suspensions following our 1-0 win over Port Vale on Saturday.
Plymouth: Niall Ennis will be available to feature this evening after sustaining a dead leg in Plymouth's recent 2-1 win over Ipswich.
Macaulay Gillesphey (groin), however, looks set to miss out.
OFFICIALS
Referee: Andy Davies
Assistant referee 1: Mark Russell
Assistant referee 2: Robert Smith
Fourth official: Sam Allison
