A busy month finished on a positive note for Darren Moore’s side as Wednesday returned to winning ways on Saturday against Burton Albion.
Goals from Barry Bannan, Michael Smith, Mallik Wilks and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru saw us post three points from the clash with the Brewers.
The Owls suffered just one defeat from seven league games during the month – conceding late against Plymouth to leave Home Park empty handed despite a good performance in Devon.
Our run in October saw us pick up maximum points against Port Vale (0-1), Cheltenham (3-0), Cambridge (0-2) and Burton (4-2), while the Owls also posted successive 1-1 draws against Lincoln City and Bristol Rovers.
After defeating Burton on Saturday at Hillsborough the Owls remained third in League One, three points behind second placed Ipswich.
