Wednesday business shoutout - More Bees Please

12 October 2022

Following the successful launch of our business network scheme earlier this year, we are pleased to introduce a weekly company shoutout here at swfc.co.uk

Each week a different local business signed up to the scheme will be showcased on our official website and LinkedIn profile to promote the great work they do.

Our first partner today is ‘More Bees Please’, a family-run beekeeping business based in Sheffield and Rotherham.

They are passionate about bees and the amazing effect they have on the environment. More Bees Please are expanding beekeeping to try and improve the quality of bees in the local area and increase the number of pollinators in the vicinity.

The company are ethical beekeepers and have over 300 hives in South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. During the winter months, they ensure the bees have enough honey stores to survive the winter and put the bees before any profit, unlike most large bee farming organisations.

They also aim to raise awareness with children and hopefully find the beekeepers of tomorrow. More Bees Please work with many schools in the area, planting wild flowers and maintaining bee-friendly gardens, while educating children on the importance of bees.

They work with businesses, especially in city centres, to help improve their carbon footprints and sustainability, by placing hives on their grounds. They hold regular experience days, giving staff the opportunity to try the honey for themselves and offer corporate gifts to clients.

The honey is unpasteurised and filtered to the absolute minimum to ensure natural honey is how the bees intended.

More Bees Please also sell other natural products from the hive, including cut comb honey, honeygar, beeswax polishes, candles, wax melts and a full range of beauty and pet products.
