Liam Palmer has been voted as the swfc.co.uk August Player of the Month!
The boyhood Wednesdayite has begun the campaign in outstanding form and enjoyed a superb first month of 2022/23.
The 30-year-old made six appearances in total, five in League One, and scored in back-to-back games against Bolton and Forest Green Rovers.
The trip to Bolton was Palmer’s 350th appearance for the club.
From making his debut way back in August 2010, the Wednesday academy product has reached a milestone few players will ever achieve for one club.
A fitting way to mark his 350th appearance – Palmer led the team out as captain for the day at the University of Bolton Stadium and scored a fine first half goal to put us 2-0 up.
Via a supporters’ vote on our official website, Palmer came top of the pile with an impressive 80% share of the vote!
