Mark McGuinness has been called up for international duty with Republic of Ireland Under-21s.
The defender on loan from Cardiff will join up with his Irish teammates next week ahead of two European Under-21 Championship play-off games.
First, Ireland face Israel at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin on Friday 23 September before travelling to Tel Aviv for the return leg on Tuesday 27 September.
The towering centre half has played six games for Wednesday so far this campaign, helping his side keep five clean sheets in the process.
