With the transfer window slamming shut on Thursday and no further additions in S6, Alex Mighten was our 12th and final new recruit this summer.
The exciting forward joined on a season-long loan from Premier League Nottingham Forest and has opened up on his reasons behind choosing Wednesday.
With interest elsewhere, Mighten had various options but is more than content with his temporary home of Hillsborough.
He said: “The size of the club is known to everyone, it’s a big club and a big opportunity and it showed again only the other night when we took so many fans to Bradford.
“It was the manager that played a massive part. He gives players a lot of confidence and after talking to him, I had a feeling, I felt really invested in Sheffield Wednesday.
“He reassured me that a player like myself would be very influential and when he breaks down your game and knows your strengths like that it gives you a lot of confidence.
“I feel I can play a big part in hopefully helping Wednesday back to the Championship. Being involved with players of this quality in the squad was also a big part of coming here because that will only help me become a better player.
“It’s such an exciting challenge and one I have embraced and I’m really enjoying.”
