Owls to pay tribute on Saturday

17 September 2022

The Owls and Ipswich will mark the passing of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Saturday at Hillsborough.

Here, supporters are advised of the full schedule of events this weekend in S6:

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY

We advise all fans to take their places inside the stadium by 2:50pm to ensure the pre-match tributes adhere to timings.

To that end, all turnstiles will close between 2:55pm and 3:00pm. Access to the stadium will not be permitted within that time.

The Fan Zone, 1867 Lounge and Wednesday Tap will close at 2:30pm.

The Owls Megastore and Ticket Office will close at 2:45pm.

BEFORE KICK-OFF

The players and coaching staff of both clubs and match officials will wear black armbands.

Members of the Armed Forces will place floral tributes inside the centre circle, around which the players and officials will gather.

A minute’s silence will follow before an acepella rendition of the National Anthem by ‘The Voice of Sheffield’ Maxwell Thorpe.

The game will then kick off at 3:00pm.
