Bannan nominated for EFL Goal of the Season

21 April 2023

Barry Bannan has been nominated for the EFL Goal of the Season award for the second campaign running!

Our skipper’s strike against Cheltenham at Hillsborough on 8 October last year is the contender, a game that saw the Owls win 3-0 in S6.

The Scot won the 2021/22 Goal of the Season award for a stunning effort against MK Dons.

The winner will be decided during Sunday evening’s EFL Awards event in London, with Bannan and Darren Moore also nominated for the League One Player and Manager of the Season awards respectively.

The 33-year-old is nominated alongside Watford’s Ismaila Sarr, Preston’s Brad Potts, Doncaster’s Harrison Biggins and Norwich’s Marcelino Nunez.

Good luck, skipper!
