The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme’s new sporting facility at Claywheels Lane hosted two prestigious ladies’ finals last weekend.
The Open Age League Cup and SHWGL Shield finals were contested by four teams who played out an entertaining afternoon of football.
In the cup competition, Brunsmeer Ladies beat AFC Bentley Ladies 3-1, while in the Shield, Mosborough Ladies triumphed 4-1 over Penistone Road Ladies.
Marcus Brameld, Head of SWFC Community Programme, said: “It was a honour to host such a prestigious afternoon of finals and see the enthusiasm for the women’s game which was evident with the passion shown on and off the field.
“We look forward to similarly successful events in the future.”
