The Sheffield Wednesday Player of the Season Awards took place at Hillsborough on Sunday evening.
The manager, his staff and all players were in attendance as the presentations were made in the club’s 1867 Lounge.
The star of the show was Liam Palmer who scooped a raft of awards on the night including the official SWFC Player of the Year gong, as voted for by supporters via swfc.co.uk.
Palmer, who is approaching 400 appearances for the club, was also named Players’ Player of the Season as well as receiving a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his services to the club over the past two decades.
Will Vaulks was amongst the winners scooping the club’s Community Player of the Season and Goal of the Season for his wonder strike away at Port Vale.
Michael Smith picked up the Owls’ Golden Boot Award with the striker on 19 goals for the campaign after scoring his hat-trick away at Shrewsbury on Saturday.
Our league campaign concludes against Derby on Sunday at Hillsborough before full focus turns to the play-offs which begin for Darren Moore’s men on Friday 12 May.
