Owls land Anthony Musaba!

3 August 2023

The Owls have signed Anthony Musaba on a permanent transfer from French giants Monaco for an undisclosed fee.

The pacy wideman becomes our seventh capture of the summer window.

Musaba joined Ligue One Monaco in June 2020 after bursting onto the scene in his native Netherlands with NEC Nijmegen.

The 22-year-old scored five goals and contributed seven assists in the 2019/20 Eerste Divisie campaign, prompting Monaco to make their move.

Musaba went on to enjoy loan stints at Cercle Brugge in Belgium, Heerenveen in Holland, French outfit Metz and back with Nijmegen.

The right winger has also earned honours on the international stage with the Netherlands at Under-21 level.

Wednesday boss Xisco told swfc.co.uk: “Anthony has big capacity with a lot of ability one against one and he is a player who learns and will give everything.

“He has the experience of being with a big club like Monaco and now this is an opportunity for him at a big club like Sheffield Wednesday.

“He has a lot of pace, he is a good crosser of the ball and I think he will be a very good player for us.”

Welcome to Wednesday, Anthony!
