Ticket boost for long-distance Owls

23 August 2023

Following a recent meeting with our Supporters Engagement Panel, it was requested the club looked into the possibility of helping long distance Owls attend games when Wednesday play near the area in which they live.

A discussion regarding the Ticket Priority Points scheme ensued and a decision has been reached that for select fixtures we will keep a small number of tickets back for supporters who live close to the respective area.

For fixtures three hours or more away from Hillsborough up to a maximum of 50 tickets will be available to those who live within a 45-minute drive of the away stadium they wish to visit.

For games where more than 2,000 tickets are allocated, 50 will be held back, with 25 held back for any games lesser than an allocation of 2,000.

These tickets will be available only after the game has sold out.

Supporters can apply by sending your ID numbers and details to a specific email address. If there are more requests than available tickets, names will go into a ballot.

Supporters will be considered by reaching the following criteria:

1. Must live within 45 minutes of the stadium (as per Google Maps)
2. Must have a valid ID number
3. Must have at least 10 Ticket Priority Points on your account and any other account applied for

As the Cardiff game this Saturday, 26 August, is now on general sale, this is not applicable for the new scheme, which will take in the following fixtures:

Swansea - 23 September
Plymouth - 25 October
Bristol City - 4 November
Norwich City - 13 December
Southampton - 13 January
Millwall - 17 February
Ipswich - 16 March
QPR - 6 April

Once the above games have sold out fans can email your full details including contact telephone number, ID number and request to for a maximum of two tickets, with both applicants qualifying as per the above.
