Victories don’t come much more dramatic than last weekend at Hillsborough.
Trailing 1-0 against QPR with five minutes remaining, Wednesday hit back in outstanding fashion to seal a remarkable comeback, with goals on 86 and 94 minutes.
Upon returning to Middlewood Road this week to continue preparations for a gruelling Christmas schedule, manager Danny Röhl says he has seen good signs from the squad.
“It is not about celebrating something, it is about working hard every day,” the Owls boss said.
“I think my message to the players this week is very clear. It’s important we keep going and keep up the hard work.
“It is important we have a high intensity in the training and a good performance in the training.
“We must do all the things now to help us move in the right direction and take the next steps.
“Our team this week have trained fantastic and they have shown me they are hungry for more and this is a good signal.
“This is a really good sign for me as the manager as well.”
