Players and staff from the Owls academy paid a visit to Cash for Kids’ Hallam FM base on Monday to hear about the great work carried out by the charity.
Wednesday Under-21 regulars Favour Onukwuli, Gui Siqueira, Joey Phuthi, Mackenzie Maltby and Rio Shipston were in attendance alongside Academy Manager Steven Haslam, Head of Education Dan Potts and Player Care Lead Rachael Finney.
Cash for Kids’ annual Mission Christmas campaign is well underway, with the charity supporting local children and young people living in poverty over the festive period.
The organisation donates presents and funds to local young people who would otherwise go without gifts at Christmas.
Our academy were shown around the warehouse, where gifts are stored and sorted, ready to be distributed to youngsters ahead of Christmas.
Supporters can make donations to the charity at Hillsborough, taking presents to the Owls Megastore or South Stand Main Reception, where they will be collected by Cash for Kids.
The charity receives 18,000 applications for presents, but has currently received only 4,000 donations, so any support you can give will be greatly appreciated.
