Danny Röhl has welcomed the appointment of Wednesday’s new Head of Recruitment Kevin Beadell.
Beadell held talks with the club and Röhl directly, and the Owls boss says the former Manchester United and Arsenal man was a perfect match for all involved.
Röhl said: “I think the Head of Recruitment was a big topic in the past. For me, it was important to find a good guy who is a good match for me and the club.
“I had conversations with Kevin about my philosophy and the club spoke to him as well, and we had the same thoughts, that he was the right match for us.
“Everybody knows we have a big challenge and we have to prepare as good as possible and Kevin will be a key part.
“Everybody knows that our direction is teamwork, we will work together. He is a good human, he has a good CV and I think it’s a great match.
“When you look at our staff, you see good CVs and it’s important we have experienced guys here.”
Röhl said Beadell’s knowledge of the market was a key factor in his appointment.
The 34-year-old added: “It was a big topic before we chose Kevin, to find someone who knows the market immediately.
“He has a good connection to clubs, agents and players. He knows the market and the Championship very well.
“It’s a good step forward to have a new guy in this key position and we have to work together to find the right players for the future.
“It’s about building something for the future and it’s important that we have a guy who understands our philosophy and we find players able to do my style of football and then we can create an identity at the club.
“It’s time to work together to build something special.”
