Darren Moore has underlined the importance of the supporters and the role they continue to play week in, week out, home and away.
Wednesday’s long unbeaten stretch in League One was put to the test on Saturday after twice falling behind against MK Dons.
The gaffer gave huge praise to the fans post-match for sticking with the team and getting right behind the boys when they needed it most.
This weekend at The Valley Wednesdayites will be out in force again, this time in South East London, with over 3,100 tickets snapped up.
It’s another sell-out on the road for the Owls.
“The fans have been fantastic,” Moore said. “Absolutely fantastic. That’s what I talk about when I say we need to be aligned as a football club.
“It’s all about that togetherness, that oneness, that spirit and we saw that on Saturday when we needed it most.
“It’s alright us speaking about it but when the moments come in the games, that’s when we need to see it, to get that support. The boys felt it on Saturday.
“I want to say thank you so much to the supporters, we’re on this journey and we are on this journey together.”
