Sheffield Wednesday are saddened to learn of the passing of our former player Colin Dobson, aged 82.
The Middlesbrough-born forward signed amateur forms with Wednesday in 1955 aged 15.
He then progressed to part time professional status in 1957 and became a full time professional with Wednesday in 1961.
Dobson made the inside-right position his own from 1962 and became a firm fans favourite, missing only a handful of games over the next four years.
He made a total of 195 appearances for Wednesday and scored 52 goals before leaving Hillsborough to join Huddersfield in 1966.
