Wycombe v Wednesday
Saturday 14 January
3:00pm
Sky Bet League One
Adams Park
THE MATCH
Wednesday return to league duty following the thrilling Emirates FA Cup third round victory over Newcastle last weekend.
Wycombe present the next challenge and the Chairboys enter the game in good form themselves.
With only one defeat from their last six matches - at leaders Plymouth - Gareth Ainsworth’s side are pushing for a play-off slot.
The Owls, though, are in the midst of an extended run of resistance spanning 14 league games, taking us into the automatic promotion equation.
TEAM NEWS
Wednesday: Mark McGuinness has returned to parent club Cardiff, while the Wycombe game will come too soon for skipper Barry Bannan (muscle strain).
Lee Gregory is back in the squad following a back strain sustained in our Boxing Day win at Fleetwood.
Wycombe: Tjay De Barr could make a comeback having been out of contention since late December.
Dominic Gape is closing in on a first team return after nursing a series of injuries.
Alfie Mawson sat out three games over the holiday period as a precaution but could be named in the matchday squad.
