Individually and collectively, a huge season awaits the Owls.

Every member of the squad starts with a clean slate under new manager Xisco and youngster Sean Fusire is determined to grasp the challenge ahead.

The S6 academy graduate has impressed during our warm weather camp here in Spain, both in training and the first friendly against Real Murcia.

And the 18-year-old is absorbing every element of stepping up into the senior ranks.

He told swfc.co.uk: “I’m really enjoying the experience, these are the kind of opportunities you have to make the most of as a player.

“Training and playing with the first team is invaluable, I am challenging myself every day. It’s so important to get feedback from the manager, the players and the staff.

“Everyone expects high standards so it’s important to be switched on 100% of the time. There’s things I know I need to work on every day, such as concentration levels, which are far more intense with the first team.”

The right-back, who penned his first professional contract with Wednesday last summer, is excited for the immediate future – and relishing the prospect of Championship football.

He added: “Every year is the most important of your career and this year I really want to go and attack the season.

"With the new manager it feels like a fresh start. I think I can rise to the challenge but I know there’s a difference between confidence and complacency.

“I am the type of person who would never get complacent, I will continue to work as hard as I can and I have the trust in myself that I can succeed.”
