The Owls took part in a behind closed door training exercise at Burnley on Friday afternoon.
After friendlies at York and Chesterfield, the squad turned their attention to our week-long training camp in Spain.
But before Wednesday jetted off to Europe on Saturday morning, there was time for Xisco’s men to squeeze in a productive training game with newly promoted Premier League side Burnley.
The Clarets, well into their pre-season programme under Vincent Kompany, ran out worthy 3-0 winners at Gawthorpe.
Early goals from Scott Twine and Josh Brownhill gave the hosts a lead at the break and substitute Dara Costelloe added a third two minutes from time.
For Wednesday, the work continues under the new manager, who now takes the Owls to his native Spain for the next seven days.
Xisco and his newly appointed coaching staff will put the boys through their paces in the warm weather camp, building up to our next friendly which takes place on Tuesday evening.
The Owls face Real Murcia at the Pinatar Arena on Tuesday at 7:00pm.
