The Owls have signed international defender Di’Shon Bernard on a permanent transfer.
The 22-year-old came through the academy ranks at Chelsea before joining fellow Premier League giants Manchester United at 16-years-old, making his debut for the Red Devils in the Europa League group stages against Kazakhstan side Astana.
Bernard spent six years at Old Trafford, taking in successful loan spells in all three EFL divisions with Salford City, Hull City and Portsmouth.
The Wandsworth product is a cultured, ball-playing central defender, with the Owls beating off stiff competition for his signature.
Bernard has already graduated to the international stage, earning four caps for Jamaica having made his debut against Qatar in June and being named in the final squad for the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The centre half becomes our fifth new recruit of the transfer window, following Reece James, Juan Delgado, Ashley Fletcher and Pol Valentin to Hillsborough.
