RIP ELAINE MURPHY
Saturday’s game is dedicated to long-standing member of staff Elaine Murphy, who sadly passed away on New Year’s Eve.
Elaine would have been 78-years-old on Saturday.
THE MATCH
Wednesday are back on home soil having climbed to the summit of League One.
Darren Moore’s men have broken club records along the way and Peterborough are next up in S6.
The visitors arrive with an inconsistent return away from their London Road base, where the Posh boast one of the strongest home records in the division.
On the road however, the visitors have lost nine of their 16 games.
But the Owls will be well aware of the threat posed by Darren Ferguson’s side, who beat top-two Plymouth last Saturday 5-2 in Cambridgeshire.
TEAM NEWS
Wednesday: There were no further injuries reported following our 1-0 win at Charlton last weekend.
Reece James, who sat out The Valley clash, has trained this week and comes back into contention.
Marvin Johnson serves the second of a three-match suspension.
Peterborough: Oliver Norburn has returned to full fitness and could feature in midfield.
Central defender Josh Knight definitely misses out after seeing red on Tuesday night.
Peterborough boast League One’s top scorer so far this season in Jonson Clarke-Harris, who leads the way with 16 goals.
