Wednesday v Bolton
Friday 17 March
League One

It’s another huge night under the S6 lights for the Owls this evening!

Darren Moore’s side host play-off hopefuls Bolton in the 7:45pm kick-off.

Wednesday head into the game top of the pile in League One after a phenomenal run of form, consisting of 22 unbeaten games and 11 wins from the last 12 outings.

Bolton will arrive at Hillsborough with promotion ambitions of their own and currently occupy a spot in the top six.

Ian Evatt will be looking for his side to return to winning ways after a tricky spell in the third tier.

The Trotters have won only one of their last five League One fixtures and have slipped to sixth in the table, three points ahead of Wycombe who are chasing down the play-off pack.

Next up for Bolton after the Owls is a date at Wembley for the Papa Johns Trophy final.

They face Plymouth under the arch in just over two weeks.

Wednesday: George Byers (hamstring) will miss out tonight.

Dominic Iorfa will serve his one-match suspension after seeing red at Portsmouth last week.

A big plus for the Owls is the return of Marvin Johnson from his three-match ban.

Bolton: George Johnston and MJ Williams are closing in on a return to action after lengthy spells on the sidelines.

The duo have not been ruled out of tonight’s clash at Hillsborough.

Midfielder George Thomason is also in the frame for a first taste of action since early December.

DON MEGSON (1936-2023)

Sheffield Wednesday were saddened to learn of the passing of legendary former club captain Don Megson earlier this week.

In tribute to the all-time Wednesday great, there will be a minute’s applause before kick-off.

The light show will once again illuminate the stadium as the players emerge from the tunnel before kick-off.

Due to the speed and frequency of the light intermittence, we strongly advise anyone with a photosensitive disorder to show caution before entering the ground.
