Wednesday v Derby
Sunday 7 May
12 noon
League One
Hillsborough
THE MATCH
Wednesday go into the final game of the regular season knowing the play-offs await, while the nerves could be jangling for Derby.
Peterborough are the only team that can threaten the Rams’ position in the top six, although Posh are two points behind with an inferior goal difference.
Darren Ferguson’s side visit Barnsley, who are also assured of a play-off slot.
THE KING’S CORONATION
This weekend the EFL comes together to celebrate and recognise the Coronation of His Majesty, King Charles III and the Queen Consort.
To mark this momentous occasion, we will be playing the national anthem ahead of kick-off against the Rams.
PLEASE STAY OFF THE PITCH
After the game, the players and coaching staff will participate in a lap of appreciation, which will not be able to take place should any supporters enter the field of play.
Fans are reminded that in the interests of safety and wellbeing for everyone inside the stadium, the pitch is for players, managers and officials only.
We know that this unacceptable behaviour is carried out by a minority and their actions do not represent most supporters, but they risk ruining the experience for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation.
TEAM NEWS
Both managers gave little away in their pre-match press conferences. Darren Moore stressed he is focused on fully fit players while Paul Warne would not be drawn on naming any potential absentees in the camp.
