Owls youngsters Pierce Charles and Devlan Moses featured for Northern Ireland Under-19s on Wednesday evening.
Gareth McAuley’s side slipped to a narrow 2-1 defeat against Hungary at Inver Park in the UEFA Preparatory U19 Mini Tournament.
Goalkeeper Charles played the full 90 minutes in Larne while our Under-18s leading scorer Moses came on from the bench after 71 minutes.
Hungary led 2-0 heading into the closing stages with goals from Tamas Batai and Zoltan Pesti.
Skipper Gallagher Lennon pulled a late goal back for the hosts on 87 minutes.
With two more games to play against Czech Republic on Saturday and then Portugal next Tuesday, both Charles and Moses will be aiming for more minutes on the international stage.
Both fixtures are set to take place at Inver Park.
