Adam Adetoro scored his first goal of the season to secure a point for the Owls’ Under-21s against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The Cherries fielded a strong side which included Darren Randolph, Gavin Kilkenny and Marcus Tavernier, but Wednesday put in a fine display to take a share of the spoils back to South Yorkshire.
Dominic Sadi opened the scoring for the home side after 16 minutes with a fine finish, but defender Adetoro netted the equaliser with 10 minutes left on the clock following fine work down the left from Jay Glover.
Neil Thompson’s side remain unbeaten in the Professional Development League so far this campaign and next face Charlton at Hillsborough on Friday.
