Goalkeeper Charles was named in Gareth McAuley’s starting XI while young Owls attacker Moses was the only new face in the 20-man group after making a strong start to the season for Wednesday.
Ireland trailed 3-1 at the interval but a half time triple substitution, including a first cap for Moses, changed the course of the game.
Moses was quickly into the thick of the action and opened his Northern Ireland account on debut with a finish from close range on 67 minutes.
