Huddersfield Town v Wednesday
Saturday 3 February

Championship
John Smith’s Stadium

THE MATCH

The Owls are back on the road this weekend, taking the short hop to Huddersfield for a crunch Championship clash.

Five points separate the two teams at the foot of the table, handing huge incentives to both sides in West Yorkshire.

The Terriers parted company with ex-Wednesday manager Darren Moore this week, with caretaker Jon Worthington going straight in at the deep end for a proverbial ‘six-pointer’.

TEAM NEWS

Wednesday: New recruits Ian Poveda and Kristian Pederson, who joined on transfer deadline day, are each eligible for debuts.

Danny Röhl reported in his pre-match press conference that Josh Windass will be tested ahead of the game.

Windass was forced out of the action at half time in the midweek stalemate with Watford.

Fellow forward Ashley Fletcher could return to the squad after sitting out the Hornets game as he was not permitted to play against his parent club.

Huddersfield: The Terriers have reported no fresh injury concerns and it remains to be seen how Worthington will line up his temporary charges.

The Town ranks were swelled by four players in January – central defender Radinio Balker, midfielder Alex Matos and strikers Bojan Radulovic and Rhys Healey.
