Wednesday v Birmingham City
Friday 9 February
8:00pm
Championship
Hillsborough

THE MATCH

The Sky Sports cameras are back at Hillsborough this evening as we face Birmingham at the slightly later kick-off time of 8:00pm.

Wednesday are out to arrest back-to-back defeats on the road in S6 tonight.

Last weekend’s loss at Huddersfield was a blow to our survival hopes and with 16 games to go and Danny Röhl has stressed the need for a positive performance and result.

The Blues have just one league win in their last eight and head to Hillsborough 19th in the Championship, nine points ahead of the Owls.

The two sides last met back in November when Birmingham came from behind to edge the game 2-1.

TEAM NEWS

Wednesday: Röhl is almost certain to make changes from our defeat in the Emirates FA Cup fourth round replay with Coventry in midweek.

Wednesday made nine changes for the cup-tie at the CBS Arena.

The likes of Barry Bannan, Di’Shon Bernard, Djeidi Gassama, Liam Palmer and Iké Ugbo were left out in the Midlands.

Marvin Johnson could return after injury has ruled him out since Huddersfield.

Josh Windass remains sidelined.

Birmingham: Alex Pritchard is an injury doubt.
