The Owls have been dealt a blow with Callum Paterson facing an extended spell on the sidelines.
The Scot suffered a recent knee injury and Danny Rohl has confirmed the forward has undergone surgery and will be out for longer than expected.
The manager said: “Unfortunately it is going to be long-term for Callum. He has had an operation and will be out for some weeks and months.
“I think we will not see him back until April. This is not a good situation for Callum or the squad of course but what we can do is wish him the very best in his recovery and hope to see him back as soon as possible.”
