There will be no room for error as the Owls head to The Den on Saturday in the Sky Bet Championship.

Danny Röhl’s message ahead of this weekend’s crucial clash in the capital is that his players must be 100% right in all actions and across all areas of the pitch from the first whistle to the last.

Wednesday were much improved in the second half in the 2-0 defeat at league leaders Leicester in midweek.

The manager wants the positives from the Foxes clash to continue into the weekend.

During this lunchtime’s live pre-match press conference, he said: “Hopefully we continue our improvement and take more steps forward.

“This is the Championship and it is about making sure all the things from the very beginning are right.

“To be always in the game, stay in the game and then be ruthless in the right moments. It’s about being ready in both boxes in the key moments.

“We have 14 games to go, it is not so many games until the end of the season and it is about taking results – everybody knows this, the players, myself and supporters.

“It’s about results. It is not enough after the game to say we did well.

“We need to be ready for the fight, it will be a hard fight against a strong physical side with a lot of set pieces, second balls will be important of course.

“We need to be ready for this, we need a result and to make the gap closer and that will be our challenge for the next three months.

“We have to come closer and closer and then make that final step but we have to work hard for this.”
