We are giving our all

Pol Valentin says there is a strong belief in the camp as Wednesday head into the final stretch of the season.

Wednesday’s recent form is strong and to stand a chance of Championship survival, it must remain this way.

But for Valentin and the rest of the squad, there is a quiet confidence bubbling behind the scenes and a strong feeling that the seemingly impossible task just weeks ago, can be achieved.

“I think we can get out of this situation because the team believe a lot in Danny and in all the things we are doing every day,” Valentin told swfc.co.uk.

“I think we will change the situation.

“Every player has confidence because we are believing in everything.”

Our 2-1 victory over Bristol City was another positive step in the bid for second tier survival and on the weekend win, the Spaniard said:

“It has a positive effect on our confidence, it is not just three points it’s more than that because it can help us build up for the next weeks.

“We don’t need to check the table, check the league, we just need to do our things.

“If we can do more like Saturday then we will get out of relegation.

“All the players, all the staff inside the team, we are doing all we can do. When you do all you can do, you feel like people are enjoying and we deserve this.

“Every game I am feeling better and trying to show my best, give my best performance and I think I can get better than how I am playing.”
