A South Yorkshire derby, three vital points on the line and a sold out crowd awaits this weekend.
The stakes are high as the Owls and the Millers go head-to-head on Saturday at the New York Stadium.
Wednesday’s focus has been on point since the disappointment of the Huddersfield reverse back at the start of the month.
Three wins from four has brought us significantly closer to the safety line but much work lies ahead for Danny Röhl and the boys.
It was in the reverse fixture in late October when the Owls registered a first win of the campaign – a 2-0 victory over Rotherham with ex-Miller Michael Smith bagging both goals.
It’s a game Röhl will always remember too, as his first win in management.
“I think it was an important win after a difficult start since I arrived,” Röhl reflected.
“Before, we did not have the best results but there were some good performances.
“Against Rotherham we took the first win, it was my first win as a manager and I will always think of this game.
“It was a great atmosphere in the stadium, our first win in the season and a massive game.
“And now we will face them again, maybe they have nothing to lose and I am sure they will go all in. That means they will fight in every duel, they will create, they will want energy from the stands to the pitch.
“It will be a special atmosphere in the derby but for us, it’s about going there with a clear mindset.
“I am very positive because we have a lot of players ready for this game, they are hungry for this game and we have to go there – in perhaps the toughest away game we will have – and fight for everything.
“There is a big, big chance for us. For both sides it’s a big opportunity. If we can take the three points it will be another big step forward and then we have two home games in front of us.
“We have to work hard, it will be a hard game, a lot of second balls, duels, set pieces, it will be about good defending but I also think we have good weapons up front to hurt them.”
