Owls duo climb all-time appearance ranks

15 January 2024

Liam Palmer and Barry Bannan have continued their steady climb up our list of all-time appearance makers.

The duo have moved up a spot following the weekend clash with Southampton.

Palmer, who made his Wednesday debut way back in August 2010, has now represented the Owls 417 times in all competitions.

It’s a remarkable achievement for the boyhood Owl, who goes level in 12th spot with Nigel Worthington and Ellis Rimmer.

Palmer is now closing in on securing his place in our top ten of all-time – just seven games away from Teddy Davison and Ernest Blenkinsop (424).

Meanwhile Bannan jumped up another spot after making his 382nd appearance for us on Saturday.
