THE MATCH
Wednesday welcome Reading to S6 in the fourth round of the prestigious FA Youth Cup.
Andy Sharp’s side progressed to this stage having beaten National League South side Hemel Hempstead 5-4 on penalties in round three at Hillsborough.
The Royals thumped Rotherham 6-0 on home soil to pave the path to Sheffield.
The Owls reached round five last season, bowing out at Cambridge following home wins over Burton, Derby Barnsley and Leicester.
Reading were beaten in the third round by Everton.
VIEW FROM INSIDE THE CAMP
Under-18s coach Sharp has urged his young charges to savour the moment of playing at Hillsborough.
He told swfc.co.uk: “It’s brought us a different challenge to what the lads are used to playing in the league.
“FA Youth Cup nights are always special at Hillsborough, there are friends and family in the stands and it’s a big occasion, but you try and make everything as normal as you can.
“The last round against Hemel Hempstead went all the way to penalties, it’s a big pitch in a big stadium and something the players must be ready for, physically and mentally.”
